The audit log

What's recorded, how to search it, and what it's for.

Every action is recorded: who, what, when, and what changed. The log is append-only and cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including administrators. That's what makes it worth anything.

Searching

• By user — everything one person did
• By record — everything that happened to one part
• By action — created, edited, released, downloaded, shared
• By date range

The supplier audit log

External activity is logged separately: which supplier viewed which document, when, and what they downloaded. This is usually the log an auditor asks for when the question is about controlled distribution.

Exporting

Filtered results export to Excel or PDF for an audit or an investigation.
