Signing in and your account

How to sign in, what to do if you can't, and where your personal settings live.

Octagon is reached in a browser at the address your administrator gave you — usually something like vault.yourcompany.com. Bookmark it; there is no separate desktop application to launch for day-to-day work.

Signing in

  1. Open your vault address.
  2. Sign in with your work email address.
  3. If your company requires two-factor authentication, you'll be prompted for a code from your authenticator app.

If you can't get in

What you seeWhat to do
Email not recognisedYour account may not be created yet, or you may be using a personal address. Ask your Octagon administrator to check.
Account deactivatedAn administrator has deactivated your account. They can reactivate it.
Lost your two-factor deviceYour administrator can reset two-factor for you. Nobody outside your company can do this.
You reach a page saying an agreement must be acceptedYour company requires a confidentiality agreement before the vault opens. Read and accept it to continue — see Confidentiality agreements.
Password resets

Password and two-factor problems are handled by your own administrator, not by Octagon. We have no way to sign in on your behalf or reset your credentials.

Your personal settings

Open Profile from the bottom of the sidebar. From there you can set your display name, choose light or dark appearance for the application, and control how you're notified — see Notifications.

Still stuck?

Email [email protected] and a person will pick it up. Include the part number and what you were doing — it saves a round trip.
