Backups, export and restore
Getting a complete copy of your data, and getting it back.
Under Administration → Export & Backup.
What a full export contains
- Native CAD in a folder structure mirroring the vault, with original filenames so assemblies resolve when opened
- Derived files — neutral formats, PDFs, thumbnails — in a parallel structure
- All part metadata and BOM structures as spreadsheets
- A manifest listing every file with a checksum, so you can verify the copy is complete
Scope
Export everything, or scope by project or revision state. Large exports run in the background and notify you when ready.
Where it goes
Download it, or write it directly to storage your company controls.
Restore
Deleted items come back from the recycle bin. For anything larger, point-in-time restore is available — contact [email protected], and do it promptly.
Test it
Run a full export periodically even if you never need it, and open a few files from it. Being able to walk away with your data is a property worth verifying rather than assuming.
Still stuck?
Email [email protected] and a person will pick it up. Include the part number and what you were doing — it saves a round trip.
