Trash and restoring

Recovering something deleted by mistake.

Deleting doesn't destroy. Deleted items go to the recycle bin, where they can be restored.

Restoring

Open Recycle Bin under Administration.
Find the item — the list shows what it was, who deleted it and when.
Choose Restore.

Restoring a part brings back its files, revisions and history. If it was on a BOM, check that relationship came back too.

Retention

Items stay in the bin for a period your company sets. After that they're permanently removed. Administrators can see and change the retention period.

What can't be deleted

A released revision — history is immutable by design
A part still used on an active BOM — remove it from its parents first
Audit log entries, ever, including by administrators

Can't find it in the bin?

You may not have permission to see it, or retention may have passed. If it's genuinely gone and it matters, a point-in-time restore may still recover it — email [email protected] promptly, as the window is finite.

Still stuck?

Email [email protected] and a person will pick it up. Include the part number and what you were doing — it saves a round trip.
