Deciding what evidence is captured at build.

Manufacturing

Traceability defines, per part, what must be recorded when it's built. Not everything needs the same evidence — this keeps the factory's burden proportionate and your records defensible.

Assigning requirements

1. Open Traceability and select a part or assembly.
2. Tick what must be captured. Options include serial number, lot number, dimensional report, certificate of conformance, material certification, torque values, functional test results and photographs.
3. Save. The requirement now travels with the part.

Why per part

A structural bracket may need material certification and a torque report; a decorative cover may need nothing. Assigning at part level avoids blanket requirements nobody follows.

Exporting

The full matrix exports as an OEM-ready PDF or Excel — parts down the side, requirements across the top. Customers with traceability obligations of their own usually ask for exactly this.
