Analysis records

Attaching simulation and calculation results to a revision.

Analysis records tie engineering justification to a specific revision. When someone asks "was this validated?", the answer is on the part.

Recording an analysis

  1. Open the part's Analysis tab and add a record.
  2. Set the type — structural, thermal, fatigue, flow, or whatever your team uses.
  3. Attach the report and any supporting data files.
  4. Set the result: pass, fail or pending.

Stale analyses

When a part is revised, existing analyses are automatically flagged stale. The record isn't deleted — it's marked as having been performed against an earlier revision, so nobody mistakes an old result for current validation. Re-run it and add a new record against the current revision.

Sign-off

An analysis can be routed for approval like any other item, giving you a recorded sign-off rather than an email saying it looked fine.

Still stuck?

Email [email protected] and a person will pick it up. Include the part number and what you were doing — it saves a round trip.
